The first shot Kenneth and I filmed was the contrast shot. For this, I had Kenneth doing work on the computer, while at the same time, cutting to him running up and down the stairs. We thought this could represent contrast because it shows Kenneth doing work vs. what he would much rather be doing. In our next shot, symbolism, we used a fan and a globe. The symbolism is captured when my sister says she wants to "travel the world", followed by a point of view angle looking up at the fan from her eyes, which then fades into the globe, thus symbolizing her want to travel. To show parallelism, we decided to show a ball being thrown into the air, and just before hitting the ground, cutting the scene to an egg cracking and dropping into a pan. Next, for simultaneity, we show a jogger and a dog walker. The scene cuts back and fourth, showing the two on their paths, eventually meeting in the middle. It reveals that they were walking and jogging at the same time. Leit Motif is what we shot last. We represented it with someone repetitively getting water, time after time, and setting them down, all with equal amounts of water left. The constant drinking of the water is what we thought represented leit motif.
